Audible Ball of Awesome

You Ain’t No Picasso has a great post discussing Sufjan Stevens overload.

So Much Silence posted some acoustic tracks by Jason Lytle of Grandaddy.

My friend, William, gave me some great links on Net Neutrality that are worth a read: link1 | link2 | link3 | NinjaLink

Another friend, Layne, sent me a
YouTube link of John Frusciante covering Radiohead.

And while we're speaking of
YouTube, here are The Raconteurs on Conan.

Earlier in the week I briefly posted about Wolfmother, and since then I have been blown away by the number of sounds they fit on one album. In the course of the record, they remind me of
The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, Rush and The White Stripes, without sounding dated or like like a rip-off. Or, as the above-note William said, "It's like a big mashed up audible ball of awesome."

In a week where I thought it would be The
Raconteurs all the time, Wolfmother has nudged its way into my top five albums of the year, and the more I listen the higher it climbs. Oh, and at the store where I bought the album, an FCC-like action was taken with strategically placed stickers adorning all the CDs – it made me chuckle a bit.
