Guster & Brightblack Morning Light

I’ll be swinging by Monster Music (my friendly neighborhood independent music store) on the way home from work this afternoon to pick up the new Guster and Brightblack Morning Light albums. For a complete list of today's new releases, check out Largehearted Boy (who is also looking forward to these two albums).

Ganging Up on the Sun, the new Guster record, contains one of my favorite songs of the year, One Man Wrecking Machine. This song, with its nefarious goodness, forces me to dance, hop and spin around in circles until I fall down and scare the cats (and my wife). It’s pop rock at it’s best, with a catchy chorus, and an upbeat (and at the same time sad) feel. You gotta dig it - it's empirically good. You can check out the quirky video here.
