Tuesday at the Music Store

Ani Drifranco's new album, Reprieve, releases today on Righteous Babe Records, and it looks like it's going to be a good one. I saw an Ani show a couple years ago (right before her much needed break) and she was an auditory ball of fire. It amazes me how so much sound comes out of such a little person.

Jim Noir's feel-good album, Tower of Love, lands stateside today courtesy of Barsuk Records. If you're tired of whiney, sad-bastard music or aren't in the mood for the-world-is-against-me angst, Jim Noir offers a nice alternative. His music is upbeat, happy and well-crafted, and it will prompt you to smile and bop around the house.
