Miscellaneous Diversions

Now that the new year is here and the holidays are past, you have time to goof around online. So, to help you goof around a little more efficiently, here are some interesting sites and whatnot.

Wikimapia - A mash-up of Google Earth and wiki-democracy. I'm not sure how helpful this site will be, as the layout may become cluttered as information is added. I like the idea, however, and with time it may morph into something useful and entertaining.

Zillow - This is an almost-creepy real estate site that tells you what your house is worth (and everyone else's house too). I'm not sure of its accuracy, but if you're in the market to buy or sell, it could come in handy.

My Google Reader Share - A newsfeed generated by me, with the help of Google Reader. As I sift through my RSS feeds, I share what most interests me - and since I don't have time to post about everything on this blog, this is an easy and quick way to pass along interesting stuff (I've added a permanent link to the sidebar).

My Photographs - I may move this to Flickr, but this format was handy, since I use Picasa.

OneThousandPaintings.com - An artist with a brilliant, money-making idea. One day I'll think of something like this, but I'm not sure when...

Digg Swarm - A realtime view of Digg activity - this page is more fun to watch than it is useful.
