Tuesday at the Music Store

I have one word for today's album releases: Jeepers!

And, yes, these records are exclamation-point-worthy
. I don't throw around emotive punctuation willy-nillythat would be crazy talk.

1. Sam Beam and his beard are back as Iron & Wine release their (his) new album, The Shephard's Dog.

2. Devendra Banhart releases his new record, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Mountain. If the entire album is as good as "Seahorse," it's gonna be one humdinger of an record. Doesn't the word "humdinger" sound dirty?

3. The Foo Fighters are back and fighting foo with Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Every now and then, you gotta have some straightforward, shit-kickin' rock 'n' roll.
