The latest cover of The New Yorker is stirring up a hornet's nest in the world of politics. Sure, it's pushing the envelope a little, but it's obviously tongue-in-cheek. Anyone who reads The New Yorker understands this, and people who wouldn't understand it probably don't read The New Yorker anyway. Yes, this may sound a little elitist, but it's true. If this cover was on The National Enquirer, Guns & Ammo or Juggs, then it might be a problem, but I think The New Yorker's readership can comprehend satire when they see it.
