When I first moved to Charleston, I spent a few years writing for the Charleston City Paper -- mostly book reviews and columns, many of which I've posted on this site. My writing wasn't great, but the paper published it anyway, to be nice I think...
Now, many years later, one of my coworkers, Steve Stegelin, writes the City Paper's editorial cartoons, and Steve's work (unlike my hackery) is fantastic. Stegelin's weekly strip skewers South Carolina politicians such as Joe Wilson and Nikki Haley -- something that must be done. It's a community service really.
