I'm almost finished with the blog redesign, which means I'll soon have time to write more content. I still need to add tags to 150+ old posts, but I should finish by next weekend. I'm curious to know what you think of the new layout, so please leave feedback in the comments (or you can email us).
I plan on posting occasional 'roundup' posts (like this one) to pass along stuff I find interesting, and we'll continue writing about the arts and technology as well. I'll also continue archiving my Charleston City Paper work, so I can have all of my writing in one place. Just wait until I start posting bad poetry...
To start this week's roundup, I want to mention a site I've enjoyed lately named Planet Dan - home of Falling Georgie and Where Babies Come From (NSFW). This week, Dan wrote about The Barking of the Squirrels and the terror that rodents can provide.
On the music front, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has a new album on the horizon, and they've posted two tracks from the album on their web site.
CYHSY | Love Song No. 7 [MP3]
CYHSY | Underwater [MP3]
In regards to visual arts, I found this Jonathan Weiner print via We Heart Prints and really dig it. I'm not sure why, but I find it engrossing. It's titled Tranquil Aftermath.
And, to wrap up the roundup, I want to briefly update you regarding my New Year's Resolution - I'm about halfway through Running with Scissors. Exciting, I know.

He held his ground, still hissing, and I lied there as motionless as possible. It was not unlike a tense scene in an action movie where both gunmen have run out of ammunition and simultaneously noticed a loaded gun situated on the ground directly in between them, as the camera pans in dramatically to focus on their twitching eyes. Who would make the first move? Except there was no gun, I was in slippers, and the squirrel clearly had the upper hand.As Leah and I drove to work on Friday, we heard a great story by David Kestenbaum on NPR about meeting your neighbors via iTunes and Wi-Fi. You can listen to the story here. And if you want to mess around with Wi-Fi thieves, read this.
