Twenty years ago, when visiting my grandparents in Charleston, South Carolina, I bought The Dark Tower from Pitt Street Pharmacy. This trade paperback was the first Stephen King book I ever read, and I've been a fan ever since.
And even though King finished The Dark Tower series, I found myself buying another telling of Roland's tale yesterday. Marvel Comics is releasing a seven part Dark Tower series, and the first issue came out this week. If you like Stephen King and/or comic books, it's well worth buying.
